Bio

LauraBeth Hettinger has been teaching  theater for over ten years.  She began performing herself when she was  in Kindergarten rocking the ostrich in Noah's Ark and singing the solo  "This Little Light of Mine".  She continued in theater her whole life  teaching younger students at a variety of after school drama programs  and community theaters.  She went to Kennesaw State University and got  her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater and Performance Studies with a  track in Musical Theater.  She has been seen in many shows across  Atlanta including the Alliance Theater, Fabrefaction Theater, The Strand  Theater etc.  Some of her favorite roles include Hope Cladwell in  Urinetown the musical, Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Lady Larken in Once  Upon a Mattress, Rosamund in Robber Bridegroom, Ula in The Producers,  and many other roles!  She was seen as Laurey Williams this summer in Pie in  the Sky's Production of "Oklahoma".   She is also a member of MENC, GMEA,  APO, Thespian Society and GAE.  She hopes to bring the magic of theater  to each student, and not only help them learn how to be a better actor  but find their own voice. "I don't want to just teach drama.  I want to  teach life, and I don't want to just teach them how to be a character.  I  want to teach them how to be themselves."
